Carrier Strike Group 3 (CSG-3), one of the U.S. Navy’s most powerful naval formations, along with Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17), has been ordered to immediate operational readiness. This activation marks a significant step in ensuring the group’s preparedness for potential deployment in response to heightened global tensions.

The units, which include a variety of fighter and attack squadrons, are set to begin pre-deployment exercises at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) at Nellis Air Force Base. This comes as part of the Navy’s ongoing efforts to maintain rapid-response capabilities in key areas of global interest.

“Effective immediately, all subordinate units are to report for readiness drills and operational exercises,” stated a Navy spokesperson. Squadrons such as Fighting Squadron 103 (VF-103), Fighter Attack Squadrons 14 (VFA-14) and 86 (VFA-86), as well as Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 (VMFA(AW)-224), are part of the strike group.

The order follows directives from the Department of Defense in response to evolving security situations, signaling the potential for future deployment. Both naval and marine air units will undergo intensive training and integration exercises designed to test their rapid deployment and combat readiness.

Carrier Strike Group 3, centered around a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, represents a versatile and powerful force capable of operating in a range of missions, from humanitarian assistance to full-scale combat operations.

Further updates on the deployment status and operational objectives will be provided as the situation develops.
